Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Toots. Your privacy matters to us, and we have built Toots to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains, in plain English, exactly what happens with your information when you use the app.
The short version
Toots does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not collect or transmit any personal information about you. The only thing the app keeps track of is an anonymous count of how many times sounds have been played, and that number never leaves your device.
Information we do not collect
We want to be clear about what we don't do, because it's most of the story:
We do not ask you to create an account or sign in.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
We do not collect your location.
We do not build a profile about you or sell any information to anyone.
Information stored on your device
Toots keeps an anonymous play count — a simple tally of how many times sounds have been played. This number is stored only on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not linked to your identity. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
Advertising
Toots displays ads through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google. To show ads, AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier and similar device information. This is handled by Google, not by us, and is used to deliver and measure advertising.
On Apple devices, you control whether apps can use the advertising identifier for tracking. When you first open Toots, you may be asked for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can allow or deny this, and you can change your choice at any time in your device's Settings.
If you unlock the premium version of Toots, ads are removed and AdMob is no longer used.

In-app purchases
Toots offers a one-time premium unlock through Apple's StoreKit, which powers in-app purchases on the App Store. When you make a purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment details such as your card number. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Toots is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we don't collect personal information from anyone, this applies to users of all ages.
Changes to this policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and make the new version available within the app or on our website. We encourage you to review it from time to time.
